Because we were using ‘Insects’ as a topic this week for reading and writing we created some works of art based on insects . We had to make them out of any materials we could find at home. I chose to use some cardboard, and coloured paper. We also got to write an imaginary story about what it might feel like if you underwent metamorphosis like insects do.

Your bug is very cute. Do you think you have given it enough legs? You know, I don't think I would mind being morphed into a beetle because at least then I would be able to fly. And maybe you could choose to become one of those beautiful beetles that actually exist; the ones with shiny, iridescent, metallic colours that glow like a jewel. That would be pretty groovy.
ReplyDeleteAnd did you know that the scarab beetle is sacred in Eygpt for representing the lifecycle of life and death? If you metamorphosised into a scarab beetle Mrs B and Jayme, you would be treated like queens!
