A couple of weeks ago we were learning about measurement like head circumfrance, and foot cicumfrance. Here is what i have done... I have the biggest head!

Maths 1 Geometry safari.

This term for maths we have been learning about 2D and 3D geometry. Kaira and I were in
a team. We went on a Geometry Safari around the school grounds to see how many 2D 
and 3D shapes we could find. Then we had to write what we had found into a table. You
can see ours below.

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly. I should be working on Stage 5.  I am at Stage 4. I got 36 out of 60

Today is our school pet Day. We made vaseline saucers using flower petals. Here is my saucer.

Maths Book

For maths this week we read a book called One is a snail,ten is a crab. We then worked in groups to create our own version. My book is called One is a slug ten is a caterpillar. Here is my book. I hope you like it.

For maths we have been working in mixed ability groups to solve problems. The focus has been solving word problems using place value. We have to select the correct the correct strategy to solve the problem. I have chosen two problems to show you how I work them out. I find addition really easy!

Vaseline saucer

First we drew a picture of what we wanted our Vaseline Saucer to look like. Second we made what we drew, finally we had a picture of us with our Vaseline saucer. I think I did well because the Vaseline saucer looked like the picture that I drew.

Basic Facts Test Term 3

Here is my B F T for stage 2-3 and 4 for the end of Term 3.

I got 30 out of 30 on Stage 2-3 and 20 out of 60 on Stage 4.

I am good at my doubles/halves to 20.

I need to work on my tens that add to 100.

We have been learning how repeated addition is the same as multiplication.

A man from the ASB came to our class to teach us about
money and how to use it. These are some things that I
learnt:

1: you can keep your money in your Bank just so you can
keep it safe.

2: you can use the banks money But you have to give
some of your Money to the ASB bank.   

3: you can use your only Debit card and then you can buy
your wants.
