EQUIPMENT
AND MATERIALS:
|
I need some air, a balloon, a bottle cap and a cd.
|
PROCEDURE:
|
Step 1:Using a hot glue gun, glue the bottle cap over the CD hole.
Step 2:twist the end so no air comes out.blow up a balloon end over the bottle lid.
Step 3: Stretch the balloon end over the bottle lid.
Step 4: open up the cap and place the CD on a table.
Step 5: untwist balloon and let go.
| |
OBSERVATIONS/RESULTS:
|
The Hovercraft hovered over to the other side of the table. It was slightly off the table. It left a damp trail.

CONCLUSION:
|
The air from the balloon creates a cushion of moving air between the disc and the CD and reduces the friction across the surface.
